Losing all my data - images, films etc when the computer blew up...
the jury is still out on whether it is possible or not to retrieve two and a half years of work and life stored on the hard-drive. The moral of this story backup, backup, backup....

behind the scenes of the quarry
Life may seem quiet on the blogging front but artistically it has been very busy.
The quarry work is extremely enjoyable and I am slowly making progress.
The main news is that I have received funding from Arts Council Wales to create a film as part of my residency. As you can appreciate this takes a lot of planning and behind the scenes work to make it happen; and trying to marry film and quarry schedules together, never mind artistic endeavours is challenging to say the least.
We will persevere, as I am with many of the ideas I have regarding the residency.

Blasting
I experienced my first blast last Friday. I've felt the blasts before but never been up close and in the quarry. The colour of the dust was peach and moved like poetry.
Blast
View from the top of the quarry last year. The area I stood on to take the photo has now been cleared and blasted!
a-n
I've also started a blog in a-n's 'Artist's Talking'. This is for me to talk directly to other artists about the project. The difficulty will be keeping up to date and keeping each blog informed!
